OverviewJoin Gyani for a transformative workshop that weaves together the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and yoga, offering an insightful introduction to the foundations of Ayurveda.
At the heart of Ayurveda are the five elements—ether, air, fire, water, and earth— which form the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each of us has a unique constitution, and by understanding our dosha and recognizing imbalances, we can take intentional steps to restore harmony and well-being.
One of the fundamental principles of Ayurveda is that our habits, routines, and dietary choices should ebb and flow with the seasons. According to Ayurveda, living in harmony with the cycles of nature and regularly adjusting our lifestyle and habits supports year-round vitality and health.
Summer is Pitta season and the peak of ‘Yang’ energy, a time to embrace all that life has to offer. During our yoga practice this afternoon we will aim to keep pitta balanced with a grounding calming and cooling practice.
Whats included:
- Insightful discussion on Ayurveda and the elements
- Opportunity to discover your Ayurvedic constitution (dosha)
- Handouts to continue your exploration with Ayurveda at home
- Yoga practice incorporating Hatha, Yin, Pranayama, and Meditation to restore balance during summer
This workshop is open to all levels.
