Terms & COnditionsGeneral T&Cs
By purchasing or attending any Shala Yoga class, membership, workshop, event or retreat, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
-
All purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions or required by Australian Consumer Law.
Class passes and memberships are linked to the individual purchaser and may not be shared, transferred or used by another person unless specifically approved by Shala Yoga.
Workshop, event and retreat transfers may be permitted where stated in the applicable cancellation policy and approved by Shala Yoga.
Please contact us via email with the new attendeeβs details before the workshop or event begins. Retreat bookings are non-transferable unless otherwise approved by Shala Yoga.
Unless otherwise stated in specific product terms, intro offers, class passes, multi-class passes and upfront memberships are not eligible for extensions, holds or pauses beyond their stated expiry period.
Specific memberships, passes, workshops, events and retreats may have additional Terms & Conditions or policies. By purchasing, you agree to any applicable terms relating to that product or service.
Full Shala Yoga Policies are available on the Shala Yoga website.
Shala Yoga reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, class timetables, teachers, class formats, services and pricing when required. Where practical, reasonable notice will be provided.
It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details remain up to date so you can receive booking confirmations and important studio communications.

Shala Yoga may, at its discretion, offer goodwill adjustments outside these Terms & Conditions in exceptional circumstances. Any such adjustment does not create an ongoing obligation or precedent.

All classes, workshops, events and retreats must be booked through the approved Shala Yoga booking system or payment method provided at the time of purchase.
Payment must be finalised prior to attending unless otherwise arranged with Shala Yoga.
Bookings are subject to availability and capacity limits.
Some classes require minimum booking numbers to proceed. If a class is cancelled by Shala Yoga due to low attendance, affected students will be notified as soon as practicable and their booking will be credited or transferred.
By booking any class, workshop, event or retreat, you agree to Shala Yoga's applicable Cancellation Policy and any specific cancellation terms provided at the time of booking.
Class bookings are subject to the 2-hour cancellation window, late cancellation and no-show policies. Applicable late cancellation or no-show penalties will apply depending on your membership or pass type.

Cancellation & Waitlist Policy
Our classes are intentionally kept small to create a welcoming and personal experience for every student. Because places are limited, each booking matters. Our cancellation and waitlist policies help us care for our community by giving everyone a fair opportunity to attend classes, while allowing our teachers to prepare and hold space for those who have booked.
-
Shala Yoga is a small boutique studio with just 18 mats, so every booking matters. Our 2-hour cancellation policy gives another student the opportunity to attend if you are no longer able to make it. This system only works when everyone helps by managing their bookings responsibly.
Please manage all class bookings and cancellations through the Momence app or online. Cancellations cannot be processed via phone, email or social media.
Early Cancellation
An early cancellation is when you cancel your booking more than 2 hours before the class start time. No penalty applies and your class credit will remain available according to your membership or pass terms.
Late Cancellation
A late cancellation is when you cancel your booking within 2 hours of the class start time.
No Show
A no show occurs when you do not attend a class you are booked into and have not cancelled your booking.
Late Cancellation & No Show Penalties
Intro Offers are subject to the same late cancellation and no-show penalties as Unlimited Memberships. Late cancellations and no shows will incur the following penalties:
Unlimited Memberships and Intro Offer holders: A $12 late cancellation or no-show fee will be charged. As these passes provide unlimited class access, a class credit cannot be forfeited.
Class Pass, Multi-Class Pass, 1 Class Per Week Membership and 2 Classes Per Week Membership holders: The class credit for the booked class will be forfeited.
Repeated late cancellations or no shows may result in restrictions being placed on future bookings.
Thank you for helping us create a fair booking system that allows more students the opportunity to practise at Shala.
-
Each class allows a maximum of 5 students to join the waitlist.
Please only join a waitlist if you genuinely wish to attend the class and are available to accept a place if one becomes available.
You may join a waitlist up until 2 hours before the class start time, unless the waitlist is already full. A valid payment method, membership or class credit is required to join a waitlist.
If you are unsuccessful in joining the class, your payment or class credit will remain available according to your membership or pass terms.
If a Spot Becomes Available
If a student cancels their booking more than 2 hours before the class start time and you are next on the waitlist, you will automatically be added into the class.
If a spot becomes available within the 2-hour cancellation window, all students on the waitlist will be contacted and the place will be offered to the first person who responds.
Once you are moved into a class from the waitlist, your booking is subject to the same cancellation policy as all other class bookings, including late cancellation and no-show penalties.
Students are responsible for checking their booking status and notifications. If you are moved into a class from the waitlist and do not attend, the applicable no-show policy will apply.
To benefit from waitlist notifications, we recommend subscribing to Shala Yoga schedule updates via Momence. Please ensure your contact details and notification settings are up to date.
-
All tickets purchased for Shala Yoga workshops and events are final and non-refundable.
We do not offer refunds or credits for change of mind, injury, illness or any other reason.
If you can no longer attend a workshop or event, you are welcome to request a transfer of your ticket to another person. Please notify Shala Yoga via email with the new attendeeβs details prior to the event. Transfers are subject to approval and are only confirmed once approved by Shala Yoga. Any transfer requests must be received at least 24 hours before the workshop or event start time.
Shala Yoga is not responsible for the sales, administration or cancellation policies of workshops or events hosted by third-party facilitators who hire the studio. Please contact the facilitator directly with any questions regarding their event.
Shala Yoga reserves the right to change teachers, class formats, schedules or facilitators when required. Where possible, students will be notified of any changes.
Shala Yoga reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops or events where minimum numbers are not met or due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where this occurs, affected participants will be notified and appropriate options will be provided.
-
Retreat deposits are final and non-refundable.
Cancellations made more than one month before the retreat start date will be eligible for a refund of the remaining balance paid, provided the participantβs place can be filled by another guest.
Any applicable booking or payment processing fees are non-refundable.
No refunds or credits are available within one month of the retreat start date, or for change of mind, injury, illness or any other reason.
We strongly recommend obtaining appropriate travel insurance to cover unexpected circumstances.
Additional retreat-specific terms and cancellation conditions may apply and will be provided at the time of booking.
All retreat payments must be made by the due dates outlined at the time of booking. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of your place and forfeiture of payments made. Any outstanding balance remains payable where applicable.
Retreat bookings may not be transferred to another person without prior approval from Shala Yoga.

By participating, you voluntarily accept these risks and accept responsibility for your own participation, decisions and actions throughout each class, workshop, event or retreat.
To the extent permitted by law, Shala Yoga Bunbury, its directors, employees, contractors and teachers are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your voluntary participation, except where liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.
